LA Marathon Finishes in Century City

The 41st ASICS Los Angeles Marathon will take place on Sunday, March 8, 2026, a week earlier than originally planned to avoid a scheduling conflict with the Academy Awards.

The change, agreed in coordination with Oscars organisers, helps prevent overlap near the Dolby Theatre, which sits at the 12-mile mark of the race route.

“We appreciate everyone’s flexibility and understanding as we make this change,” said Race Director Stacy Ferraro. “Our team is doing everything possible to make the transition smooth, and we can’t wait to celebrate 41 years running with our community in 2026.”

The LA Charity Half Marathon will also take place on Sunday, March 8, 2026, while the Big 5 Sporting Goods LA 5K and LA Kids Run presented by Circle K will be held on Saturday, March 7. The two-day Health & Fitness Expo begins Friday, March 6 at Dodger Stadium.
